Douglas Goldberg has been practicing law for over 35 years and has been with the firm for over 11 years. In the 1980s, he was a Senior Assistant District Attorney/Chief DWI Prosecutor in the Orange County District Attorney’s office and gained invaluable and extensive courtroom and jury trial experience.
Thereafter, Doug went to work for a major international insurer, Royal & Sun Alliance, where he became managing attorney supervising several associates and support staff in personal injury litigation handling over 350 files in Bronx County and the Ninth Judicial District. He prepared and tried high exposure tort cases including products and premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, Dram Shop, Labor Law and wrongful death. He was one of a limited number of Royal’s nationwide attorneys assigned to their Major Case Unit. He thereafter worked for AIG house counsel as a Senior Trial Attorney/Team Leader before joining the firm. He has taken over 50 cases to verdict with more than 15 in the Bronx alone.
Doug has always viewed his decision to practice law as a lifestyle choice not a 9 to 5 job. He understands well the needs of both his clients and principals and is dedicated to fulfilling their objectives in a practical and cost effective manner. He is often the “go to” attorney in the office for difficult cases with complicated fact patterns and issues as well as a resource for the younger attorneys to whom he freely provides guidance and advice acquired over his decades of experience.
